The Earth is Our Home.
Mike appreciated nature more than most people do. He found beauty in babbling creeks, rustling leaves, and even booming thunderstorms. He took great care to avoid little frogs on roadways, release birds and bats that found their way indoors, and move snakes out of the path of the lawnmower. He found every plant and animal worthy of our respect and kindness, regardless of how little they were.
The world around us was always important to Mike. We hope to do our part in preserving it through a variety of worthy causes:
Donating to local parks, such as Salt Springs
Planting trees and other native plants to support birds, insects, and other creatures
Removing litter along local roadways
Donating to wildlife rehabilitation centers and animal shelters
There are countless ways you can help protect our natural world. We hope to schedule cleanup days in the future to involve more of those who knew and loved Mike in keeping our surroundings litter-free and beautiful.
